Alba Berlin takes step towards first place
The German basketball champion Alba Berlin took a big step towards the main round win of the Bundesliga. The capitals won their home game against the MLP Academics Heidelberg with 110: 70 (51:44) and thus kept their chances in first place. Most victories have continued to have Telekom Baskets Bonn, but unlike Alba, they no longer have any catch -up games. The best throwers of the Berliners were Yovel Zoosman and Louis Olinde with 17 points each. Meanwhile, the Bundesliga stage said goodbye to Routinier Rickey Paulding, who has been playing for EWE Baskets Oldenburg since 2007 and has now stopped at the age of 39. Paulding was allowed to play for almost 30 minutes at the MHP Giant Ludwigsburg on Sunday at 102:86 victory and scored eight points. The 2009 champions did not qualify for the playoffs.
Even before the match day, the Fraport Skyliners from Frankfurt and the Gießen 46ers were determined as relegation.
