NFL Recaps Week 14 2021
Bye Week: Indianapolis Colts, Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots, Philadelphia Eagles
The game of the week
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (10-3) — Buffalo Bills (7-6)
Result: 33:27 OT (7: 0, 17: 3, 0: 7 3:17 6: 0) Box score
Drama in Tampa! After a 27: 3 lead the Bus at the beginning of the fourth quarter the score a brilliant comeback and managed second started yet but the balance remaining. In overtime but Tom Brady made short work and finished the game with a 58-yard touchdown pass to Bread Persian.
The Bills did not come before the break at all in the aisles and provided a curious statistic: She had runs before the break, but these were all runs by quarterback Josh Allen. This makes them the first team in the NFL for 30 years, which closed the first half without a single hand-off.
In overtime, which they reached by a field goal by Tyler Bass 22 seconds before the end of normal time, guests were then first the ball but were three-and-out kept and unbeaten — after that they did not see the ball again,
Brady has thus beaten his favorite opponent again — it was the 33rd victory in the 36th game for Brady against the Bills. And this time the GOAT wrote several times history and made for new records. His TD pass to Persian was the 700th touchdown pass of his career (including playoffs). In addition, Brady passed with a completion to Mike Evans before the break Drew Trees for most completions in NFL history. Brady now stands at 7,156 completions.
In addition, Brady scored just before the break by QB sneak even a rushing touchdown — his tenth since his 40th birthday. He moved with receiver legend Jerry Rice for the most goals Ü40 touchdowns in the NFL the same.
Cleveland Browns (7-6) — Baltimore Ravens (8-5)
Result: 24:22 (10: 0, 14.6, 0: 3, 00:13) Box score
In the previous week, Star Corner Marlon Humphrey and right tackle Patrick Mari this week, defensive tackle Calais Campbell and — worst case scenario — Quarterback Lamar Jackson. The Ravens remain dogged by bad luck. Against the Browns Jackson injured early in the ankle and had to be replaced by Tyler Huntley. Jackson threatens to fail against the Packers in the coming week. Without Jackson, the offense of the Ravens, presented once again disappointing. Tyler Huntley fumble the ball with two blindside hits, he got the offense later in the game really moves. Thanks to big plays by Mark Andrews and Ra shod Batsman guests marched then but the field down and made the game actually really exciting again. With a touchdown pass to Andrew Huntley, reducing the deficit less than two minutes left on two points, the following onside kick secured Chuck Clark after Andy Ivanovich got the ball in the shoulder. However, Cleveland forced a turnover on downs: With a fourth-and-six, the Browns flashed Huntley played briefly Batsman, but was clearly tackled before the first-down marker. Baker Mayfield appeared after a week break something fitter, but still played a far from perfect game. The quarterback of the Browns started thanks to many Roll louts and clear Reads well into the game, but then threw an interception right into the arms of Anthony Everett. When a fumble Mayfield also was lucky that this did not result in a turnover.
Tennessee Titans (9-4) — Jacksonville Jaguars (2-11)
Result: 20: 0 (7: 0, 3: 0, 7: 0, 3: 0) Box score
Trevor Lawrence's Rookie season can hardly be described differently than transgressed. The game against the Titans may apply as a preliminary negative highlight: zero scored points, four interceptions. Lawrence and the open spoke never found in the game against Tennessee. Once again, however, the coaching of the Jaguars must be questioned in this development. Lawrence threw with a decimated receiver group 40 passports, three more times he was punched. At the same time, the running backs of the team were just seven Runs (for six yards). With this pressure on his shoulders, Lawrence will hardly succeed. On the part of the Titans Julio Jones celebrated his comeback, but was not a dominant factor in the open lake. Jones came to four catches for 33 yards, not a single player on the pages of the hosts crashed the brand of 50 Receiving Yards. Without Derrick Henry in the backfield, the Titans continued to put on a so-called Running Back Committee. D'Onto Foreman, Jeremy Nichols and Montreal Billiard received all at least six carries. Collecting really points could not collect any of the Runner. Everyone remained well below four yards per carry.
Kansas City Chiefs (9-4) — Las Vegas Raiders (6-7)
Result: 48: 9 (14: 0, 21: 3, 3: 6, 10: 0) Box score
After her 14: 41 clatters in the first meeting, the Raiders decided to provoke their opponents a little more and posed their opponents in front of the match on the opposing logo. It should not be a good idea: Kansas City destroyed his guests, just before the break, the hosts went 35: 0 in front. The Raiders made their own drives regularly destroy themselves, the defense of the Chiefs dominated in the first half. Immediately at the first play of the game, Josh Jacobs left the ball out of his hands, Mike Hughes wore this to the touchdown in the end zone. It followed: three punts, an interception after Foster Moreau could not catch the ball right and a fumble of Hunter Renfrew. Only immediately before the half was Las Vegas a Field Goal to 3:35. The Raiders thus clearly remain the favorite opponent of the offense around Patrick Mahomes. Once again, Las Vegas played several Snaps with only a deep safety and got angry with evil. In their two games against the Raiders, the Chiefs achieved more points (89) than in their five other games for weeks seven (77). Mahomes made his best game for a long time and distributed the ball almost flawlessly (20/24 for 258 yards and two touchdowns). In Backfield, Clyde Edwards-Helaire ran twice to touchdowns, Derrick Gore came to 66 yards at nine carries — including a touchdown over 51 yards.
New York Jets (3-10) — New Orleans Saints (6-7)
Result: 9:30 (0: 3, 6: 7, 0: 3, 3:17) Box score
After his illegal appearance against the Cowboys, Task's Hill was allowed to start again for the Saints — and made his cause better this time. Hill stayed without turnover and came (also thanks to a 44-yard touchdown in garbage Time) on two touchdowns on the ground. But everything still did not ran around: In a throwing attempt, the ball Hill slipped, who had to play again with an injured middle finger, out of his hand. A catastrophe he could just prevent himself when he was able to secure the ball on the ground. His comeback also celebrated Alvin Samara, from a slow leadership was nothing to see. Samara received 27 carries and came to 120 rushing yards. Highlight: Cameras 16-yard-Run to the first touchdown of the game. The Running Back does the offense of the Saints clearly well. On the part of the jets Zach Wilson could not build on this performance after his well-best season game in the previous week. Wilson remained without turnover, without its best receivers Elijah Moore and Corey Davis he got the ball offensively but hardly moved. With 42 passport attempts Wilson came to 19 Completions for 202 yards. An eventful game also experienced Linebacker C.J. Mosley. Against the running-intensive openness of the Saints he collected 17 tackles. Elijah Riley also came to a two-digit tackle number (ten).
