We have seen many Nintendo retro products that are sold at incredible prices in recent times, but this is a bit different. Despite being a Game & Watch never before seen for sale, it is sold by the very low price ¥ 1,001,000 (around US $ 9100 / € 8000). Really quite reasonable.

Yes, there are no sales of a million dollars here. So, why so much fuss? As explained by BeforeMario, this is an anniversary edition of the Game & Watch Donkey Kong system that was a special request from the creator of G & W and Game Boy, Gunpei Yokoi, to celebrate the 20 million units sold.

In the lid, you can see the name G. Yokoi together with K, Momose and T. Isada. The account of . Beforemario also shared the following information about the names, although the role of the third individual is not entirely clear.

The drawing of the Yokoi-san trio, Momose-san and Ishida-san was conducted by Kano-san (designer who had a key role in the G & W team, verifique Iwata Ask online on G & W). Yokoi-san, of course, was Director of R + D1 by Nintendo and father of G & W. Momose-san was the director of the company that supplied the front metal plates for G & W to Nintendo. We do not know what was the role of Ishida-san, but we assume that it represents another key partner.
